Outcast at get togethers

So, so far I've posted a few things about a variety of topics, however none of them have hinted why calling this blog "Living in a CB World". Well, here's the first example of why believe it's true. You know how Charlie Brown never gets invited to parties, never receives a Valentine's card, and never is told he's a great guy by his friends (until some redeeming event transpires), well same thing happens to me. For example, a little less than a month ago, an acquaintance of mine threw a birthday party, which I attended. I didn't know many people there but there were a couple I did and I tried to join their conversations a few times, only to be rejected and shunned by those around me. I walked through that place more times than I'd cared to admit looking for someone to talk to, only to have people turn their backs on me and ignore my presence when I approached. Maybe, I'm reading something into that, but when things happen to make me feel this way, then perhaps these various items/events should be handled differently so I don't feel ostracized.
